2008 - Let's face it
I am destroying my body by smoking.
I'm destroying my body by using the wrong diet and not exercising.
A body is a beautiful thing, right? Pretty much everything.
So this wilful destruction is not on. There are patterns in my brain which I have created by becoming dependent on nicotine and sugar.
However, this physical addiction is nothing. It only takes a week to get rid of it and it is not more uncomfortable than having a cold.
The psychological dependency is much stronger.
So why? The cigarettes are a response to anxiety and fear. The anxiety was there when I was a teenager and feared embarrassement.
I use food as comfort as well. An insulation against loneliness and boredom. That applies to the cigarettes as well.
So that's the truth.
